Space Squared Update: Support SLAB!
SLAB BBQ and Beer has what most people now call, real dope BBQ. SLAB was founded on the basis of bringing you new flavors that are a break from your traditional Texas BBQ. They bridge the taste bud gap of the Dirty South from Memphis, to the Carolinas, Alabama, and Texas. Along with our delicious smoked meats, SLAB offers four different award-winning BBQ sauces. I first met SLAB co-owner, Raf Robinson back when he owned the local South Austin hot spot and coffee shop, Irie Bean. It's been incredible to watch Raf combine forces with some amazing people. Pitboss and Founder, Mark Avalos who has been featured on Travel Channel and Food Network for his famous pulled pork sammies. II. LEASE THIS SPACE
Socati Corp is seeking a group to sublease 4,000 to 8,000 square feet of their current space. The space is open with plenty of natural light. After a renovation full building renovation and addition speakeasy bar in the basement in 2017. This opportunity for a stand-alone building includes signage on street, access to the cocktail bar, interconnecting staircase. I worked with Socati to find this space but they are currently buying out another group and planning to take their space. The landlord will also do a direct deal if proposed and I've known this owner for years after selling the building to him in 2013. This is a great local group to lease from.

This unique space is located across IH 35 from downtown Austin and 5 minutes from the Texas Capitol and University of Texas. HSE Architects designs all of their spaces in the U.S. and has included some unique, incredible color and planning ideas to make their interior really stand out. Estes+Sinacori is building the space and constantly communicating, working tirelessly with the COVID-19 issue; making this project smooth as any build can be during this time.
